The Nortel Norstar telephone has a testing mode that
allows for testing and adjusting the contrast level on a sets LCD display.
To adjust the LCD contrast level and/or test a norstar telephone display press
the Feature button
(
<or>
) followed by
pressing 805 then press the Hold button (
<or>
).
During the norstar telephone display test mode the option to adjust the LCD
contrast level appears first. Adjusting the LCD Display contrast can
also now be down by pressing the LCD Display button directly below the words
Down or Up.
To now proceed with testing the display press the LCD Display button directly
below the label OK or press the Hold button ( <or>
).
During the test the entire display should be filled with solid, dark blocks
and all the LCD button indicators should be turned on. If this not the case,
then there is a problem with that telephone.
Pressing any telephone button at this point will end the display test.
